The United Nations envoy visits the ENKS representation in the Kurdistan Region

ARK News… The official in charge of the political situation in the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), and the Kurdistan Region Representative of the Kurdish National Council in Syria stressed the need for continuous communication and meeting.

Mr. Kwang Koo Joy, who is responsible for the political situation in the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), on Tuesday 15/2/2022, visited the headquarters of the Kurdish National Council representation in Syria in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

The delegation was received by Messrs. Hassan Darwish, deputy head of the representation, Nawaf Rashid, Raman Mulla, Abdulaziz Walika, members of the representation.

In the meeting, which was attended by Kamiran Hajo, an official of the ENKS Foreign Relations Committee, and Ibrahim Biro, a member of the ENKS Foreign Relations Committee, the two sides talked about the Syrian political situation in general and the Kurdish situation in particular at the international and regional levels.

For their part, members of the representation spoke about the problems and suffering of Syrian refugees in the Kurdistan Region in terms of education, health, service, and economics. The members stressed the need to make efforts and better assist the refugees by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

A memorandum was delivered to the delegation of the UN mission detailing the problems of the Syrian refugees in the Kurdistan Region, with the two sides stressing the need for communication and continuous meeting.
