An armed group dismantles and robs solar power devices in rural Afrin

ARK News: An armed group belonging to Turkish army dismantled and stole solar panels that generate electricity belonging to Kurd citizens in Basuta village of Afrin city, and the devices were taken out of the village by a truck, without the intervention of elements of the checkpoint belonging to the al-Hamzat group that controls the village

"Elements of an armed group on Sunday dismantled and stole the solar panels on the rooftops of both houses of Ahmed Khalil Khalil and Bassam Mohammed Khalil from the village of Basuta of Afrin city, and they loaded those plates in a truck and transferred outside the village without the intervention of elements of the el-Hamzat group that controls the village", a special source from Basuta village said to ARK News

This is not the first time that armed groups, in cooperation with the settlers, dismantled and stolen solar devices on roofs of houses by force. An armed group, in cooperation with the settlers, stole the energy equipment for most of the houses of Qassim village belonging to Rajo town, and that in many villages people live at night in total darkness.

It is noteworthy that most of the pro-Turkish armed groups, which participated in the occupation of Afrin region, committed dozens of crimes against the residents of it, such as murder, kidnapping, looting, theft and burning crops, and the seizure of the property of citizens, as well as the destruction of monuments and religious and deliberately set fire to forest trees, the aim is to destroy the infrastructure of the area.
