ARK News… Local sources revealed that the problems and difficulties facing the Kurdish farmers during the start of the cultivating season, and all kinds of seeds are at a constant cost.

Local sources in Syrian Kurdistan told ARK News: In conjunction with the start of the planting season, farmers began to face difficulties, and traders are taking advantage of the lack of monitoring by the PYD administration to raise the prices of seeds required for cultivation.

The local sources added that one ton of wheat seed, its price at the present time is (1,600,000) one million and six hundred thousand Syrian pounds, and it is not available, and barley is not available, and the price of one ton is expected to be more than (1,400,000) one million and four hundred thousand Syrian pounds.

Here are the prices of some materials required for cultivation:

-A ton of wheat (1,600,000) Syrian pounds, which is not available.

-A ton of barley is more than (1,400,000) Syrian pounds, and it is not available.

-A ton of sifted coriander (950) dollars.

- A ton of unfiltered coriander (750) US dollars.

-A ton of chickpeas (800-900) US dollars.

-A ton of “winter” phosphate fertilizer (500) US dollars.

- A ton of urea fertilizer "Spring" (490) US dollars.

The local sources said, due to the high price of fuels, especially diesel, owners of heavy machinery for plowing agricultural lands are forced to raise the price of plowing per hectare from (25-100) thousand Syrian pounds.
