The Pentagon: Going to war with China or Russia will destroy the world

ARK News... The Pentagon confirmed that the United States' goal is not to enter into a war with Russia and China, because such a war would be devastating for the entire world.

The Russian "TASS" agency quoted the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General John Hyten, as saying during a seminar organized by the Brookings Institution, that "in principle, we have never fought the Soviet Union. As for the great powers, our goal is not to go to war with China and Russia, because that day would be terrible for our countries.”

"This will destroy the world and the global economy," Hyten added. It will be bad for everyone, and we have to ensure that we do not go down that path.”

Speaking about Russia, he noted the successes achieved in the dialogue with Moscow. He said: “We had a fair amount of success with the Soviet Union, and now with Russia, and we are negotiating with it about strategic stability to make sure we understand the status quo. This is not only related to the nuclear field, but also to space.”

"Whatever our differences, we have a basic common goal, which is never to clash, because war with a nuclear state is a bad thing," Hyten concluded.
