The Council: Establishing of ENKS during the Syrian revolution came as an objective need to unite the Kurdish people

ARK News… Ten years have passed since the start of the Syrian revolution, which coincided with the climates of the Arab Spring at the time, in response to the injustice and tyranny policies of dictatorial and totalitarian regimes, the Syrian arena has witnessed over the past years a series of political transformations and field variables, with the influence of several international and regional factors, which made the two parties of the conflict, the Syrian regime, and people, the weakest link in the decision-making process about its fate, as a result of international-regional interactions and approaches that made the Syrian field and its space areas of influence, and a theater to break the political bone by managing the crisis and each through its tools to prolong its life at the expense of the suffering and sacrifices of the Syrian people.

The Syrian revolution was peaceful and led by the revolutionary youth, and with the tension of the situation and the increase in the number of demonstrations, to include all the Syrian geography, the regime used excessive violence and killing against peaceful demonstrators and civilian activists, citing sectarian militias first and the Russian and Iranian ally later to draw the world's attention from a peaceful revolution to a civil war, and unfortunately, it lost, the regime has partially succeeded in disrupting the revolution's path and terminology, because of its intransigence and adherence to the military solution, the dispersion of the Syrian opposition and the multiplicity of its platforms, and the control of armed militias in more than one Syrian geographical area, not to mention the lack of seriousness of the international community to carry out its responsibilities towards the Syrian people and their appalling plight... All these determinants will not undermine the determination of the Syrian people to surrender after they have become half of them displaced, not to mention the thousands of victims, detainees, and disappearances as a result of the totalitarian regime's policies.

The Syrian revolution has entrenched important changes in the thinking pattern of large segments of Syrians, which will have repercussions on the future of Syria. The true owners of the revolution are convinced that it is necessary to work on formulating a national project that guarantees the rights of all Syrian components.

Since the start of the Syrian revolution, the Kurdish movement has decided its choice to engage in the peaceful Syrian revolution because we are fundamentally opposed to the regime's racist policies and its exceptional projects applied against our people (Arabization ... Stripping of nationality ... Obliteration of national identity ... Separation and prevention of jobs ... Arrests ... Etc.) However, we did not yield to the machine of racial repression, and this manifested itself in the glorious March 12, 2004 uprising that broke the barrier of fear in the Syrian street, which positively affected the launch of the 2011 Syrian revolution.

The establishment of the Kurdish National Council during the Syrian revolution came as an objective need to unify the ranks of the Kurdish people and their word, and the council sought to preserve the peacefulness of the revolution in the Kurdish regions, despite the repression of the regime and its tools. The Kurdish National Council lined up alongside the Syrians and joined the ranks of the Syrian opposition with conviction and participated in the political process on the future of Syria, and the Council seeks by all means and diplomatic ways to establish the rights of our Kurdish people as well as the rights of all components of the Syrian people in a constitution in which all components participate, away from the hegemony and superiority that it was practiced by the regime, we are exerting as the Kurdish National Council with our allies to end the suffering of the Syrians and find a comprehensive political solution to the Syrian crisis through the implementation of international resolutions, especially Resolution 2254, which guarantees the political transition process and ends tyranny, chaos, destruction, areas of influence, demographic change processes and the return of the displaced to their original areas of residence and the return of civilian life to all Syrian regions through a decentralized political and pluralistic system.
