President Barzani: What is happening in Afrin worries us, and we hope that in Syria the rights of all components will be preserved

President Masoud Barzani said that the events and violations taking place in Afrin cause concern, hoping at the same time that the rights of all components in the future Syria will be preserved.

This came, on Wednesday, while President Barzani received the head of the Syrian National Coalition, Nasr al-Hariri, and the accompanying delegation in Erbil.

During the meeting, they discussed the political situation in Syria and the latest developments in the region.

President Barzani affirmed that he supports a solution in Syria that achieves peace and coexistence among all components, noting at the same time that the events and violations taking place in the Afrin region are a source of concern, hoping at the same time that the future Syria will preserve the rights of all the Syrian components.

The head of the coalition, Nasr al-Hariri, thanked President Barzani for the Kurdistan Region’s embrace of hundreds of thousands of Syrians who sought refuge in the region during the outbreak of the war in Syria.
