ARK News… Iran has denied its involvement in Monday's deadly rocket attack on Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, where one civilian was killed and several others were injured.

On Monday night, several rockets landed near Erbil International Airport and other residential areas, resulting in the killing of one person and wounding of eight others, according to the latest updates by Kurdistan Region’s Interior Ministry.

Saeed Khatib Zada, a spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, denied the "suspicious" suggesting Tehran’s involvement in the rocket attack on Erbil, noting that they “have nothing to do with the rocket attack on Erbil."

This comes while the deadly attack has widely been blamed on the pro-Iran Hashd al-Shaabi and other militias operating in Iraq.

Meanwhile, a little-known Shia group calling itself “Awliyaa al-Dam” Guardians of Blood, has already claimed responsibility for the rocket attack on Erbil, as the group is viewed as hostile to the US forces such as Kata’ib Hezbollah and Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq.

Iran called on Iraq to find and hold the perpetrators accountable.
