Because of the high price... A campaign to boycott Syrian bread in Erbil
ARK News… A number of Syrian Kurdish activists in the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, organized a complete boycott campaign for bread (both Syrian and Lebanese) due to its high price.
The campaign met with widespread solidarity from all segments of society, as many activists and refugees joined the campaign.
According to the campaign statement, it started from February 11th until the prices returned to what they were.
Noting that the price of flour and labor wages has not changed despite the high price of the dollar, according to their statement.
The price of a bundle of bread (Syrian and Lebanese) is 1000 Iraqi dinars, while its price was 500 dinars previously.
