ARK News… The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said that although three years have passed since the Turkish invasion of the Afrin region, its suburbs and villages, and its control over the region, violations, and crimes are still daily, and taxes, without any deterrent.

Among the violations, the imposition of taxes and royalties on the remaining Kurdish civilians in the area, the last of which was the imposition of the al-Waqqas militia in control of a number of the following villages (Sannara - Anqale - Hekije - Marwaniya Tahtani - Marwaniya Fouqaani) of Shiye - Jenderes towns, a financial (tax) of 50 TL. for every head of cattle owned by Kurdish citizens, according to the Human Rights Organization in Afrin.

The organization confirmed that the tax includes the Kurds without including Arabs and Turkmen who were resettled under a political agreement.

Turkey and the armed factions invaded Afrin region, on March 18, 2018, after 58 days of the war, during which more than 350 thousand Kurdish civilians were displaced, while more than half a million Arabs were resettled in the Afrin city center and its seven towns and villages.
