Ismail: The Roj Peshmerga is a purely patriotic Kurdish force, and the Kurds are awaiting its return to Syrian Kurdistan

ARK News… Muhammad Ismail, a member of the presidential body of the Kurdish National Council in Syria and head of the negotiating delegation in the Council, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, strongly criticized Aldar Khalil's statements regarding the Roj Peshmerga, who described them as mercenaries, stressing that the National Unity Parties are two parties, one that wants the success of the Kurdish negotiations and the other wants to thwart it.

Ismail's statements came during his participation in the ARK bulletin, where he strongly criticized the statements of Aldar Khalil, head of the PYNK delegation, saying that it was not the first time that he made such irresponsible statements.

Ismail said: The Roj Peshmerga forces are a national Kurdish force, academically trained, and their hands are not stained with the blood of the Syrians, they refused to engage in the Syrian fighting, and they are from well-known Kurdish families in Syrian Kurdistan and enjoy the spirit and patriotism and national affiliation, and the Kurds are waiting for the return of those forces.

Regarding the text of the declared understanding between the two parties over the past year, Ismail indicated: Aldar claims that he does not know anything he signed, stressing that these statements come with the aim of thwarting and undermining the Kurdish negotiations.
