The political report of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, for the month of August 2018 to date

ARK News: The political scene seems to be witnessing dramatic moves about the Syrian crisis, and the situation of Idlib province takes an important place in this move, especially as it hosts more than three million people of the Syrian population, and fears of attacks of Syrian regime and its allies of the Russians and Iranians on it , despite of the meeting summit between the countries of Astana (Russia, Turkey, Iran) in the Iranian capital Tehran on 7/9/2018 and confirmed through a statement that Idlib province of the dangers of that attack to prevent it, where Turkey is afraid of the influx of new wave of refugees on its territory from that attack - that happened – as the countries of the allies warned, that led by America and the consequences of that, and in general, these political movements continue until another time, where each of the countries concerned to push things in the direction of serving its interests and agendas. The states of Astana and Sochi are pushing towards creating the appropriate atmosphere for the Syrian regime to recover. It calls for the withdrawal of foreign forces from Syria as if they themselves are not foreign - That the disarmament of extremist forces and the separation of terrorists and others, and launch the hand of the regime to adopt the so-called opposition to the interior in a bid to circumvent the opposition and international legitimacy, the United States and Israel, along with European countries, are also preparing for the withdrawal of foreign forces, led by Iran and Hezbollah - even if this leads to direct confrontations - sometimes even to Russian and Turkish forces. In other words, it will not withdraw from Syria unless it achieves a political solution to the Syrian crisis through international legitimacy and on the basis of the Geneva 1 document and the resolutions of the United Nations in this regard, in particular resolution 2254 and the resolution 2118 and other relevant international resolutions, and it seems that this conflict over the political solution to the Syrian crisis will continue and may be punctuated by clashes or even direct confrontations.

And Iran, for its part, continues its reckless policy in Syria, Yemen, and Iraq, moreover, it does not spare any effort to spread its repression against the national opposition at inside Iran and to deal with the almost daily executions of the various Iranian components of the Azeri , Arab Ahwaz Arabs, and shows that the pace of suppression of the Kurds has increased than it was to the extent of bombing sites of Kurdish Parties, even within the Kurdistan region of Iraq, as happened recently and led to the death of a constellation of fighters from the two Parties, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Iran (KDR-I), and has crossed the red lines, which requires necessary measures to prevent their recurrence. However, in any case, the Iranian regime remains in this policy by depleting its economic energies in its regional interventions and subjecting it to additional economic sanctions and suppressing the Iranian people. It is proceeding towards an unknown fate that may be towards the abyss or its inevitable end.

And Turkey, so far, has not followed a balanced and integrated policy in terms of the latest developments, as it is not in line with its new allies as required while embracing the broad opposition, which is contributing simultaneously to Russia and Iran in improving the conditions of the Syrian regime. The position of both Russia and Iran on the issue of Idlib, despite the recent tripartite summit in Tehran is different from the position of Turkey, which will be affected by new migrations as we have just hit this province, it is desperate to achieve new understandings with its traditional allies (the United States and the European Union) and other allies, as well as its internal situation and the decline in economic growth rates and exposure to economic sanctions increased the pace of monetary inflation and therefore the decline of the exchange rate of the Turkish lira against the US dollar, which requires a serious review of its policy with its natural allies in order to achieve the required balance between the international and regional sides, and return to resolve their issues Interior with interest.

As for Iraq and the Kurdistan region, the situation is increasing in Iraq, the parliamentary blocs are still moving in the effort to achieve the relative balance of the formation of the new government, especially the new parliament itself is unable to do the constitutional role required because of absent so far to an elected president because of differences blocs on the three presidencies, and the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Parliament) and then came demonstrations and protests of the masses of Basra, which expanded its circle and moved to other cities and countries, including the capital Baghdad, these demonstrations to increase the severity of the crisis in Iraq, especially as the demands of demonstrators and protesters are legitimate and the slogans of the demonstrators took another course in dealing with the Iraqi political issue, as prejudice to many parliamentary blocs, and political, which means the interactions and repercussions of the situation are going towards more complexity and encroachment.

In the Kurdistan region of Iraq, it is noticeable that the two main parties (the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) have increased their understanding of the fate of Kurdistan or the general situation in Iraq, or in dealing with the parliamentary blocs to form a new government, and the criterion in that it seems that the alliance with any parliamentary body be subject to the response of the Kurdistan issue, which is the subject of disputed areas Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution and the subject of the budget of the region and other issues and issues, including the need to address the situation in Iraq as a whole, especially the file of financial and administrative corruption, and the file of the demonstrators to meet their demands and work as possible In order to arrange the Iraqi house and the formation of his government after the election of the three presidencies.

In Kurdistan of Syria, the situation of Afrin and civilians are still the biggest factor in the thinking and suffering of our Kurdish people there because of the shameful practices of the dominant forces in the region, and obstacles and obstacles remain for the return of displaced persons to their property and homes. In addition, their tragedies are exacerbated by their lack of the most basic necessities for decent living, Which calls for resorting to good forces and the free world to support this afflicted people. In this context, the Kurdish National Council in Syria, represented by the Committee on Foreign Relations, did not spare any effort to explain the tragic reality of the international bodies in recent rounds, whether in Belgium, Germany, Russia or France.

And in related context, the Democratic Unionist Party (PYD) continues to pursue the policy of repression, prosecution, and detention of the leaders and cadres of the Kurdish National Council and its components, and the offices and headquarters of the Council and its parties are still closed, despite the pressures and requirements of the stage and despite the measures and procedures that oppose it, which entails additional tasks and responsibilities that must be remedied before it is too late.
