A statement of condemnation from ENKS directs the request to the leadership of SDF
ARK News… The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, issued a statement on the targeting and burning of the al-Resale Educational Center and the targeting of other centers, confirming that the Kurdish National Council renews its condemnation of these acts of intimidation and the perpetrators, and holds the security services responsible for their continuation, it also called on the leadership of the (SDF) to fulfill its obligations in this regard.
ARK News received a copy of the statement saying: In blatant defiance and disregard for the feelings of the people and everyone who condemned and denounced the acts of sabotage carried out by armed groups affiliated with the security services of the PYD by burning the offices of the Kurdish National Council recently, and in defiance of those who pledged to stop these people at their borders and hold them accountable, these groups escalated from their hostilities, this time targeting private educational centers.
The secretariat added: On the night of Tuesday 22/12/2020, that these groups burned the al-Resale Educational Center in the Qaddour Beg neighborhood in Qamishlo city and tried to burn the Hebron Language Institute in the Assyrian neighborhood, with the aim of imposing a state of confusion and anxiety among people and terrorizing them over the safety of their children and their future and pushing them to further immigration.
The secretariat continued: The Kurdish National Council renews its condemnation of these acts of intimidation and its perpetrators and holds the security services responsible for their continuation and for the leadership of the (SDF) to fulfill its obligations regarding this.
The secretariat indicated that the council affirms the necessity of resolving the issue of education by adopting curricula that are recognized by the relevant international organizations and are not Ideologies. It also affirms the priority of security and stability for all of our people and the preservation of their freedom and dignity.
The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria concluded its statement by stressing that these practices will not discourage it from its goals, and it renews its commitment to the national constants of our people and to defend them in the most difficult circumstances.
