ARK News: Hundreds of political and civil society activists, journalists, and civilians gathered on Wednesday outside the United Nations office in Erbil to decry the recent Iranian deadly attack against the headquarters of two Iranian Kurdish opposition parties in Koya.

The crowd raised placards showing pictures of the victims of the Koya missile attack, with slogans against Iran’s aggressive policies towards Kurds.

On Saturday morning, Iran fired eight missiles at the headquarters and refugee camps of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (PDKI) and Iranian Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP-Iran) near Koya. It killed at least 16 people and injured 42, including leadership members and civilians.

Representatives from Iranian Kurdish parties read a statement during Wednesday’s gathering, calling on the UN, international human rights organizations, and foreign diplomatic missions to speak out against Iran’s aggression.
