ARK News… The Chair of the Committee of Martyrs and Victims of Genocide in the Parliament of Kurdistan Sunday confirmed that the presence of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) on the territory of the Kurdistan Region caused the continuous Turkish bombing of the border areas in the region, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of many people of those areas.

MP Sawsan Muhammad told BasNews: “PKK is the main reason for the continuation of the Turkish bombardment on the border areas in the Kurdistan Region, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of many people in these areas, the evacuation of many villages, and the deprivation of citizens from carrying out their agricultural work and returning to their lands, therefore, PKK is the main reason for the martyrdom and wounding of citizens in these areas.

She added, "Until recent events, the PKK had a hand in it, and this party has always been a source of problems for the citizens of the Kurdistan Region." She added, "They abandoned northern Kurdistan (Turkish Kurdistan) and came to stir up problems for the citizens of the Kurdistan Region, and because of PKK, the Kurds also received a low percentage of votes in the recent Turkish elections."

The Kurdish representative explained, “The entity of the Kurdistan Region is the only shield that the Kurds protect from the four parts of Kurdistan, but the PKK insists on continuing its anomalous practices and its terrorist acts in it. It creates problems for the citizens of the Kurdistan Region”.
