A communiqué issued by the meeting of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria

ARK News… The Central Committee of our party, "the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria" held a meeting on 11/12/2020 in Qamishlo headed by the comrade Saud Al-Mulla, the party's secretary and the presence of the party's organization leadership in Turkey, and discussed the topics listed on its work schedule.

The meeting began with a discussion of the political situation, and the comrade secretary started it with a comprehensive presentation of the overall political situation, focusing on the Syrian crisis and the most prominent options for a political solution represented by some form of decentralization or through a settlement with the Syrian regime, and he referred to the meeting of the fourth session of the recent mini-constitutional committee in Geneva as a prelude to the meeting of its fifth session, to be held in January of the next year 2021, as being important and would resume its work in turn.

After that, the attendees' interventions and discussions were allowed to enrich the political situation, by reviewing the work and activities of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, the recent tour of the Presidency in Turkey and the Kurdistan Region, and its meetings with officials in each of them and the positive results that resulted from it, and what it should strengthen the council’s role politically and publicly, as it is the carrier of an important aspect of the Kurdistan national project, the meeting also reviewed the topic of "the National Coalition for the Forces of the Syrian Revolution and the Opposition" and what is required to activate the role of the Council in it and contribute to elevating its performance to the level of the Syrian people’s ambition, and to confront firmly the mentalities imbibed from the abhorrent racism and sectarianism, the meeting also stressed the need for the Council to continue in it and contribute to correcting the work of the coalition in a way that serves the principles of the peaceful Syrian revolution and all the Syrian components, including Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, Turkmen, etc.

In a related context, the meeting stopped at the tragic situation in the Afrin, Girê Spi and Sari Kaniye regions, and the violations committed by some of the coalition militias, including killing, harassment, and kidnapping of the Kurds, in addition to the displacement of them, in addition to plundering their money, properties and contributing to changing the demographic nature in those areas, and what should be done to stop these shameful practices and work to address those situations that are inconsistent with human nature, facilitate the return of the Kurdish displaced to their homes and enable them to manage their areas by themselves after removing these militias from city centers.

The meeting also reviewed the issue of Kurdish-Kurdish negotiations between the Kurdish National Council and the Kurdish National Unity Parties, under American auspices and the blessing of the Kurdistan Region leadership, in the forefront of which is His Excellency President Masoud Barzani, and the progress that resulted from them after the completion of the political document, ending how to form the supreme Kurdish authority, and discussing some administrative aspects and what should be completed after a break for special reasons and not because of the severity of differences or their intractability, despite the presence of some pending issues, in the hope of resuming these negotiations soon, as the meeting called on the other party to make it successful stopping actions and media statements opposing them, and relying on individuals and personalities that support the unity of the Kurdish ranks and their political position.

The meeting dealt with the issue of the "Peace and Freedom Front", which is currently based: The Kurdish National Council in Syria, the Assyrian Democratic Organization, the Syrian Tomorrow Movement, and the Arab Council in the Jazira and the Euphrates, which are in their entirety opposition parties, the meeting confirmed that it came inappropriate political conditions, and it is not at the expense of other opposition forces, but rather complements its role, and that its doors are open to every political party that accepts its political document, and the meeting saw the need to activate it by forming its political leaders, offices, and branches in the regions to enable it to play its effective role in these important conditions.

In conclusion, the media situation was reviewed, and the development and progress that it should have, especially in this important political circumstance, and the importance of the media in this regard, and stressed the need to deliver the party’s central newspaper to all regions of the party’s organizations.
