ARK News… Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday promised retaliation for the killing of the top nuclear scientist of his country.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was believed by the West to be the architect of Iran’s nuclear program, which Washington and its allies think is working to develop nuclear weapons. Fakhrizadeh was ambushed by a group of gunmen on Friday near Tehran and killed instantly.

Khamenei wrote on Twitter that Iranian officials should take all the necessary measures to “pursue this crime and punish its perpetrators and those who ordered it."

Country’s President Hassan Rouhani soon blamed the assassination on Israel, and told his cabinet later that Tehran would respond “at the proper time.”
