ARK News… The deputy head of the Syrian National Coalition Opposition and a leader in the Syrian Kurdish National Council ENKS, Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar, on Friday, revealed the reason for the visit of a delegation from the Coalition to Afrin in western Kurdistan (Syrian Kurdistan) with the participation of the ENKS representative, pointing out that the PYD's adoption of the policy of attacking the Council is due to the fact that any success of the Council in Afrin will lose it the most important paper for political investment on the human suffering of our people in Afrin.

Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar said in an interview with (BasNews), "The reason for the visit is that the Coalition has a program that has been set up in the Presidency, and it has been approved in the political, and this program includes working to address the situation in the areas of the Coalition, including Afrin." Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar indicated that "the Coalition program includes the following:

1- The armed factions should be stationed outside cities and towns in their own areas.

2- Reducing and remedying the violations and abuses that occur.

3- Restoring rights to their owners, and there is a committee formed by the initiative of some factions in the name of (Responding to Grievances), which began its work more than a month ago, and the Coalition supports this committee and urges it to restore the rights of all citizens.

4- Strengthening the role of Local Councils and the return of the displaced to their homes.

Bashar, who is the ENKS representative in the Syrian Coalition Opposition, added, "The coalition seeks, through its program, to implement good governance in Afrin, Izaz, Jarablis, Al-Bab, Idlib, and others, as well as Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi within this program."

Pointing out, "This program is largely identical to the program of the Kurdish National Council, and the council’s representatives in the presidential and political body have participated in developing this program."

Bashar added, "In order for this program not to remain theoretical, and in order to implement it, it has been decided that the permanent presence of members of the Coalition inside, including Afrin, will be through continuous visits to meet with people and listen to their concerns and problems and seek to solve them. Adding that" The council in these visits, rather it is necessary for their participation, and the visit of brother Abdullah Kaddo was not a personal decision, but rather in coordination and agreement with the representatives of the council in the political body.

The Kurdish leader stressed that "The Coalition is trying very hard and diligently to address the situation in Afrin, but to what extent it may succeed, this depends on several factors that we are not going to go into in detail."

Bashar pointed out that "There is no justification for attacking the council from any party, including the PYD, because the council’s program is clear, and this is what we mentioned in the first item, and the council works directly or through its representatives in the coalition to implement this program to work to address the suffering of the people of Afrin, or at least mitigate it if it does not achieve the desired success. "

He explained, "Any success achieved by the Council in Afrin is supposed to be welcomed by the PYD, but the policy of attacking the Council is due to the fact that the Council's success in Afrin will lose the PYD the most important card for political investment in the human suffering of our people in Afrin."

The Kurdish leader added, saying that "the central issue for ENKS is to guarantee the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria under a pluralistic democratic system, and their battle within the Syrian borders, specifically with the regime that has persecuted the Kurds for half a century." Pointing out, the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) has never had a battle with the Syrian regime or to defend the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria. Rather, it has used part of the Syrian Kurds for its battles outside the borders since its second appearance on the Syrian arena after the start of the Syrian revolution. "

Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar concluded his speech to (BasNews), saying, "The Kurdish regions in western Kurdistan have become an arena for its external (PKK) battles, which has caused more suffering to the people in general and pitting the Syrian public opinion against it, which has inflicted great damage on the Kurdish issue in western Kurdistan (Syrian Kurdistan)."
