Washington: The Assad family has killed more than five hundred thousand people in Syria
ARK News… The US embassy in Damascus confirmed on Monday that the Assad family had killed more than five hundred thousand people in Syria, calling for a peaceful solution in the country.
The embassy said in a statement: The Assad family has ruled Syria for 50 years, and has so far lost too many lives in Assad's sterile search for a military victory against his people, killing more than 500,000 people in Syria.
The statement added that the majority of those killed were due to the regime's brutal actions, which also include widespread arbitrary detention, torture, and extrajudicial killing.
The embassy noted: We reiterate our call to move forward with a permanent political solution to the Syrian conflict, in line with Resolution 2254 of the UN Security Council.
