ARK News… Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar, deputy head of the Syrian National Coalition opposition, confirmed, on Wednesday, that the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is its sole goal to abort the Kurdish issue wherever it revives and finds its way to a solution, pointing out that its presence in the Kurdistan Region is an occupation and serves the enemies of the Kurdish people.

Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar, who is also a member of the political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria (one of the opposition Kurdish National Council parties in Syria ENKS) said to (BasNews), that “The presence of the PKK in the Kurdistan Region is illegal because the region is a legal entity approved by the Kurdish people and approved in the constitution of Iraq and has its laws and regulations, including that the presence of any individual, who is not from the Iraqi Kurds, within its political and administrative boundaries, needs to legalize his status through a form of forms of residence, and any political group engaging in the activity must be licensed by the concerned authorities.”

Adding, "With regard to the presence of armed groups in the Kurdistan Region, I think that it needs a legal status and a political decision, and all of this does not apply to the PKK, so its presence is completely illegal and its presence is considered an occupation of part of the Kurdistan Region, and this affects Iraqi sovereignty and the region."

The Kurdish leader stressed that "the presence of the PKK in the Kurdistan Region may serve anyone but the Kurds and its issue," and said: They serve their operators.

Bashar pointed out that "this is not the first time that the PKK attacks the Kurdistan Region, and it will not be the last, as the timing of its attack at this stage is linked to two issues: The first is the security stability that the region is witnessing, and this is what annoys the PKK and the second is related to the agreement between the regional government and the federal government regarding Shangal (Sinjar), which includes its withdrawal from it. "

He pointed out that there are several parties behind the PKK attack on the Kurdistan Region, and they have an interest in this, including Iraqi militias, such as the Popular Mobilization Forces, the PKK's ally, as well as regional forces hostile to the Kurdish people.

The Kurdish leader explained, by saying, "If we assume that the PKK is really working to solve the Kurdish issue in Turkey, it must finally lay down the arms that proved its failure and even severely damaged the Kurdish issue in Turkey," adding that "it must engage in peaceful and democratic political action in its arena, and leave the Kurdistan Region ultimately and if some of them remain, they must abide by the applicable laws of the region.

Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar concluded his speech to (BasNews), saying, "The last word I address to the Kurdish politicians and intellectuals and to the base members of the PKK who are deceived by them, as the time has come to put points on the letters, and it was enough for us to put our heads in the sand like an ostrich, and the time has come to say aloud, that PKK has one single goal, which is to abort the Kurdish issue wherever it flourishes and finds its way to a solution.
