For the third day in a row, the number of detected carriers of coronavirus is approaching one hundred thousand – on Thursday, 95.7 thousand new cases were registered, on Friday – about 96.5 thousand.

India ranks second in the world in the number of detected cases of coronavirus – according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, more than 4.65 million people have been diagnosed with the disease.

According to the Indian Ministry of Health, the number of recovered reaches 77.77% of the total number of cases in the country and exceeds 3.62 million people. Over 958 thousand people are treated in hospitals or 20.56% of the number of cases. In the last 24 hours, this number has increased by more than 14,000.

The number of coronavirus deaths according to the latest data exceeds 77.4 thousand and is 1.66% of the total number of detected coronavirus cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, 1,201 people have died from the disease.
