Death and 20 infections with Corona in Syrian Kurdistan

ARK News… The Health Authority of the PYD administration in (Syrian Kurdistan) announced, on Wednesday, the death and 20 new cases of coronavirus.

The joint head of the Health Authority of the PYD, Dr. Jiwan Mustafa, said in a statement that one person died in Al-Shahba areas, northeast of Aleppo, as a result of being infected with the Coronavirus, while 16 cases were recorded in Al-Jazira region (Hasaka, Qamishlo, and its countryside), 2 in Deir Al-Zour, and 2 in the Al-Shahba areas.

He added that "a person who recovered in Qamishlo city had been infected with the virus earlier."

The PYD Self-Administration had announced earlier that 30 infections had been recorded in its areas of control.

To limit the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, the PYD self-administration imposed a curfew in the Al Jazira's territory, banning the movement of buses for mass transit within cities, and completely transporting between the Al Jazira region and other departments with the exception of commercial vehicles.

Communities in general also banned in "sports - holidays - swimming pools - cafes" places during the period of Eid al-Adha.
