Dozens of immigrants arrived on the Greek islands

ARK News.. Four boats have arrived in the Greek island of Lesbos during the past few days, carrying a total of about 148 immigrants, bringing the number of immigrants to the island off the Turkish coast to 194, since the beginning of this month of July.

Last Saturday, two separate boats, carrying 58 migrants, landed on the shore of the Greek island of Lesbos, where one of them carried 20 people, and stopped at the northern coast of the island near the town of Molyvos, while the other with 38 immigrants on board arrived on the northeastern coast of the island, near the town of Tisonia.

The Greek authorities announced that all immigrants will be subjected to a Corona examination, by a special team from the World Health Organization, to be transferred later to the quarantine facility in Meghala Therma, north of the island.

A number of local journalists and activists have indicated that a new batch of immigrants arrived on the island east of the Aegean Sea, off the Turkish coast, on two boats carrying a total of 90 migrants.

They pointed out that the first boat arrived in the early morning, with 56 people on board, while the other arrived in the afternoon, with 34 migrants on board.

Local activists noted that the migrants were transferred to the health isolation facility in Meghala Therma, north of the island, where there are 162 other immigrants, some of them there for months, in poor living conditions.

Since the beginning of this July, six boats have arrived on the coast of Lesbos, carrying 194 immigrants.
