Election of Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar as vice president of the Syrian opposition coalition
ARK News.. The National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces , on Saturday, elected Dr. Nasr Hariri as its new president.
The General Body of the National Coalition for the Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces, Dr. Nasr Al-Hariri, elected a new president, succeeding of Anas Al Abda the ending his tenure.
The General Body also elected each of Abdul Hakim Bashar, Oqab Yahya and Roba Happoush as vice-presidents, and Abdul Basset Abdul Latif as general secretary, in addition to electing 19 new members to the political body.
The meetings of the General Body of the National Coalition began on Saturday morning, its 51st session, and began presenting the reports of the Presidential and Political Body and the coordinators of the departments and committees.
The members of the General Body will complete today Sunday, the second and last day of the meetings, during which they will review the developments of the internal situation and the challenges facing the Syrian revolution, in addition to reviewing the reports of the Syrian Negotiating Body, the Syrian Interim Government and the Support Coordination Unit.
