Hasaka’s fire.. Nearly 50, 000 donums turned into ashes

ARK News.. The SOHR said that fires broke out today in the agricultural land in Derbasiya district in Al-Hasakah countryside. Nearly 40,000 donums of harvested and unharvested agricultural land were burned down. The fires broke out in the villages of Jadida, Karbatli, Baba Mahmoud, Tal Tairi, Tal Tishrin, Haram Rash and Tal Ayloul, to the Midia hall on Qamishlo road, where the wind helped to expand the fire.

The Observatory added that large agricultural areas were burned in rural Abu Racine and Tal Tamer. Arsons were committed by members the Turkish-backed factions, in the villages of Taweela, Arisha, Jahfa and Darara. The fires spread to the village of Tal Taweel, which mostly inhabited by Assyrian. 80 houses were burned down in the village, while the factions prevented residents and fire brigades from extinguish it, estimated at 7,000 donums.

The Observatory also added fires broke out in the agricultural land between the villages of Kardmia and Kani Nehme, north-west of Derek, in the area adjacent to the border between Turkey and Syria.

The Observatory made clear that large fires broke out in the villages of Gulbasan and Seker, south of the town of Derbasiya, and the fire devoured about 400 donums before fire crews, with the help of residents, were able to extinguish them.

Moreover, fires also broke out in five agricultural projects in the village of Birkenis in the western countryside of Derbasia, with an estimated burned area of 800 donums of wheat crop.

In the village of Qairouan, some 200 donums were also burned, and dozens of donums were burned in the villages of Qasimiyah, Rashidiya and Rihania, northwest of Tal Tamr. The fires burned down the homes of residents there.
