The Western Department of Local Councils holds an extraordinary meeting, and this is what has been discussed

ARK News: The Western Department of the Local Councils of the Kurdish National Council in Syria held a meeting today, June 8, 2020, in the presence of the two members of the Presidency Council, Fasla Youssef, Faisal Youssef, and the head of the local councils, Mohsen Taher.

The meeting started with a minute's silence on the lives of the Kurdish and Kurdistan martyrs, led by the immortal Barzani.

Each of the Fasla Youssef and Faisal Youssef talked about the latest political developments in all fields, especially with regard to the ongoing negotiation process between the Kurdish National Council in Syria and the Democratic Union Party the PYD.

The meeting also addressed the organizational situation by reading and responding to reports received from local councils and informing the heads of local councils of decisions issued by the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria.

For his part, Mohsen Taher spoke about the latest organizational developments about local councils, and in a special statement, Taher stressed about the ongoing negotiations between the Kurdish National Council in Syria and the Democratic Union that there is no choice for the Kurdish movement in Syria except for the unity of the rank and the Kurdish position. He also touched on the continued suffering of our people in the Afrin region, Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi in light of the escalating violence and violations by armed factions loyal to the Turkish army.

He also pointed to the economic situation in light of the deterioration of the Syrian pound and the suffering of the people as a result.

He appreciated the role and endeavors of the leader Masoud Barzani and the presidencies in the Kurdistan Region, which support the cause of the Kurdish people in Syria, and their support for national and democratic rights of the Kurdish people in all international meetings and forums, especially the Kurdish-Kurdish rapprochement in Syria.
