The United Nations sends a humanitarian aid convoy to Idlib

ARK News.. The United Nations sent a humanitarian aid convoy to Idlib, in northern Syria, via Turkish territory.

The trucks entered Idlib through the Turkish “Gilwa Gozo” crossing opposite the Bab Al Hawa crossing from the Syrian side, to be distributed to the needy in Idlib and its countryside, according to the “Anatolia” agency.

The United Nations sent a humanitarian aid convoy on May 28, 2020, consisting of 90 trucks, to Idlib Governorate, via Turkish territory.

On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, the United Nations appealed for the extension of Security Council Resolution 2165, which permits the entry of humanitarian aid across the border into Syria, without the need for approval by the government of the Syrian regime.
