A declaration from Amnesty International

Apr 26 2020

ARK News.. On its official website, Amnesty International has published an announcement of a free course on how the Covid-19 virus affects our human rights.

The Organization said that “With fear and anxiety about the Covid-19 virus spreading around the world, many people have started asking difficult questions about how the epidemic affects our human rights. Isn't border control necessary to contain the virus? Does the quarantine or curfew imposed by the government affect our right to move freely? "

The Organization added "At such times, it is important for us to be able to speak confidently about what countries must do to protect human rights. That is why we have created an online course to help you deal with the Covid-19 virus."

Course Objectives

According to the declaration, "the session identifies the many implications of a global human rights epidemic, including restrictions on the right to health, the right to freedom of expression, increasing unfair discrimination and xenophobia. It also clearly defines states' human rights obligations, and what it should do , and what it should not do when it responds to the epidemic.
