A faction commits a horrific crime against an elderly woman who suffocates to death and arrests her sons for keeping the news
ARK News.. In continuation of the crimes which were committed in the Kurdistan region of Afrin, which amount to crimes against humanity, against the remaining Kurdish civilians in it, and amid international silence, where an armed group in a village of Shiye township committed a crime against an elderly woman and strangled her to death.
The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said: "A group of armed militia under the name of the Waqqas Brigade of the Syrian National Army on 20/04/2020 killed the elderly Fatima Ibrahim Kinne, 80 years old, the wife of Sabri Tana, who is from village of Hekije of Jenderes township, strangled with the aim of stealing money, jewelry and gold. "
The Organization added: "While her children were working in the vineyards and olive fields. As soon as they arrived at the house, they saw their mother on the chair killed and signs of suffocation evident on her neck and traces of wounds on her feet as a result of her being pulled from inside the room to the garden of the house."
The Organization noted: "After the news spread, the brigade members were quick to kidnap her four children, because they did not make any statements regarding the incident, and they are:
1 –Muhammad, 60 years old
2- Hannan, 45 years old
3 -Fawzi Muhammad, 25 years old
4 -Fawzi, 55 years old. The kidnapping campaign also affected a number of women, under the pretext of interrogating them.
Activists on social media denounced the news of the death of the elderly woman, calling for holding perpetrators accountable and removing the militias from villages and towns.
