White Helmets ”launches a proactive voluntary initiative to confront Corona in Idlib

ARK News.. The Syrian Civil Defense Organization, "White Helmets", in cooperation with humanitarian organizations, launched a proactive volunteer initiative called "Volunteers against Corona" to confront the spread of the Coronavirus in Idlib Governorate.

Mustafa Al-Haj Youssef, director of “White Helmets” in Idlib, said that the initiative is a “proactive step to confront any spread of the virus in Idlib, through coordination between the civil defense and the health directorate, and humanitarian organizations working in the region to form teams of volunteers whose mission is to help in the event of the spread of the virus “.

The initiative includes forming voluntary committees from organizations and civilians who want to volunteer, with the aim of raising awareness of the need for social isolation measures, providing alternative services to civilians to encourage them to stay in homes, gathering information and the number of people in need of medical care in the event of a virus spread, which gives the ability to prepare and better monitor resources

No infection has been recorded in northern Syria yet, according to recent tests conducted on a number of suspected cases.
