Quarantine imposed on several neighborhoods of Erbil city
ARK News.. Dr. Saman Barzanji, Minister of Health in the Kurdistan Regional Government announced, on Tuesday, April 6, 2020, the imposition of quarantine on several neighborhoods of the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
"In addition to the Karizan neighborhood, quarantine has been imposed on the neighborhoods of Altun City, Sheikh Ahmed, Zanko, Chinar, Ziyan, Zilan City, Mamostayan, 124 Gulan, 94 Badawa, Kani Keni Barzanji said at a health conference.
He stressed that: "The covered neighborhoods by the health ban showed Corona infections as a result of the participation of people living in these neighborhoods in the condolence councils that were held in the Karizan neighborhood a few days ago."
The Kurdistan Regional Government is taking strict measures to reduce the spread of the virus in the region, by preventing gatherings, curfews, and equipping private hospitals to receive the infected, as it extended the curfew decision to 10 of this month.
