Council Affairs Office meets with heads of Localities in the Eastern headquarter
ARK News: The Eastern Headquarter held an expanded meeting, on Wednesday 04.02.2020, which included the local councils in Derik, Girke Lage, Chil Agha and Tirbaspiye and Abu Sanjak, in the presence of Mohsen Taher, head of the Local Councils Affairs Office, a number of members of the office and all heads of local councils.
The meeting started with a minute's silence on the lives of all the martyrs of the Kurds and Kurdistan, foremost among them Barzani the immortal. After reading the reports received from the local councils and responding to them and setting the heads of the local councils with the decisions issued by the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, the attendees discussed the political issue related to the Syrian situation in general and the Kurdish one in particular, where Mohsen Taher talked about the latest political updates and developments in the region, the meetings of the Kurdish National Council with the American, Russian and European side at home and abroad, as well as the continued suffering of our people in the region, especially in Afrin and Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi in light of the horrific violations by armed groups supported by the Turkish authorities.
The head of the local councils stressed that these practices are contrary to all human and moral values and are inconsistent with the regulations of human rights and international law, especially with regard to the policy of demographic change and said that any delay or procrastination by those involved in the opposition regarding the return of the displaced to areas and their original homes in these areas, fall into the framework of systematic policy against the Kurdish people and its historical presence.
In the Kurdish field, Mohsen Taher emphasized that the Kurdish movement in Syria has no choice but the unity of the row and position and urged the democratic society movement to deal with all calls, initiatives and unitary endeavors in a spirit of historical responsibility to reach the true partnership in the political, administrative and military fields.
At the end of the meeting, the president of the local councils, on behalf of the heads of the local councils, thanked the efforts of the leader Masoud Barzani and the presidencies in the Kurdistan region in support of the Kurdish people’s issue in Syria and their support for the national and democratic rights of the Kurdish people in all international gatherings and forums, national flags and emblems of all shapes and sizes were distributed to local councils in honor of their efforts and in preparation for the upcoming glorious March activities and holidays.
