In names ... Information about the kidnapped Ahmed Sido is revealed for the first time
ARK News: The family of the kidnapped, Ahmed Sido, on January 11, 2020, issued a statement about his fate, it affirmed in it that, despite the denial of the PYD of kidnapping him, the facts and evidence prove the opposite. He was kidnapped in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo, by two persons from the Sheikh Maqsoud Council of the PYD, who are from the Kurdish Region of Afrin. The statement added: There are people who were released from the prison (Sheikh Maqsoud Prison) and confirmed that he was there. The family also rejected the statement of the Syrian Democratic Forces, about the fate of the kidnappers altogether and in detail.
ARK Media Foundation received a copy of the statement which stated in it:
After seven years of pain, agony and separation, and after follow-up and always asking about him, the response was to deny his existence.
Ahmed Othman Sido, father of six children, was kidnapped on 9/10/2013 in Aleppo, Sheikh Maqsoud Gharbi neighborhood, in front of his house by two people belonging to Sheikh Maqsoud Gharbi Council, known as Abu Abdo Jenderes and Hussein from Shiltahe, who are affiliated with the Democratic Union Party (PYD).
After searching and asking about him in Sheikh Maqsoud Gharbi prison, next to Salahuddin Mosque, the response was that he was not present at us, knowing that there are people who released of the prison and confirmed his presence there, and until now his fate is unknown in return, we hear daily the release of ISIS enemies of the Kurds.
As for the statement issued on 1/1/2020 from the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces regarding the kidnappers, we are the family of Ahmed Othman Sido, rejecting what was stated in the statement altogether and specifically regarding their repudiation of the kidnapped in Afrin, and when they were kidnapped, they were the ones who ruled the area in the name of self-management.
We demand the disclosure of his fate and the fate of his companions while they bear full responsibility for their lives, at the same time we call on all humanitarian and human rights organizations and the international community and the states of decision and influence to stand by our side and pressure on them to release them and prosecute the criminals who carried out this cowardly and inhumane act that is contrary to all international laws and norms.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) had issued a statement regarding the fate of the kidnappers, in which it claimed that eight of the names of the kidnappers, which were handed over by the Kurdish National Council in Syria, were kidnapped before the formation of the PYD administration, saying: "The first eight cases of disappearance preceded the formation of the self-administration and its institutions formally, that is, before the date of the formation of the administration on January 21, 2014, even the first cases were before the formation of the YPG."
