Arrests confirm the falsehood of PYD’s allegations of the unity of the Kurdish rank Kurdish"

ARK News: The Kurdish National Council in Syria issued a statement condemning the actions of its members in the village of Shikafte, in the Kobani region in Syrian Kurdistan.

ARK Media Foundation received a copy of the statement stating:

Armed elements of the Asayish forces of the (PYD) arrested on 7.12.2019, Ismail Mustafa Muhammad "Abu Shiraz", a leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Unity Party and a member of the Kurdish National Council on the road to the village of Shikafte-Kobani, and took him to an unknown destination.

We are in the Kurdish National Council at a time when we strongly condemn these arbitrary arrests and irresponsible practices that serve the parties hostile to the Kurds, especially in the exceptional circumstances that the region in general and our Kurdish people in particular, and the conditions in the Kurdish regions of Syrian Kurdistan, have gone through. Moreover, these arrests confirm the falsehood of the allegations of the PYD, the unity of the Kurdish rank and position.

The Kurdish National Council calls on Kurdish political parties and community activists to pressure the Democratic Union Party the PYD to desist from these practices, manipulate the fate of the Kurdish people, push it towards the unknown, and immediately release the leader Ismail Mustafa and all political detainees from their prisons, and close the file of political detention.
