Pederson announces the date of the next meeting of the Constitutional Committee
ARK News: UN special envoy to Syria, Geir Pederson, announced on Friday that members of the Syrian Constitutional Committee agreed to return to Geneva to resume meetings on November 25.
This came in the Security Council and the international meeting currently held permanent headquarters of the International Organization in New York on the Syrian crisis.
"On October 30, 150 Syrians met in Geneva within the framework of the Constitutional Committee," Pedersen told council members. There were 50 members nominated by the government of the Syrian regime, 50 members nominated by the Syrian opposition negotiating committee, and 50 civil society activists, experts and other independents, inside and outside Syria.”
