ARK News: A summit on Syria will bring together leaders of Turkey, France, Germany, and Britain in early December on the sidelines of a NATO meeting near London, the Turkish presidency said on Friday.

The Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin pointed out that the summit will be held after a preparatory meeting in Istanbul with French, German and British delegations.

"It was agreed to hold this quartet summit on the sidelines of the NATO summit in London on December 3 and 4," Kalin was quoted by the Anatolia news agency as saying.

The summit will be attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, in an atmosphere of intense tension between Turkey and Europe, which strongly criticized the Turkish invasion on 9 October in northern Syria against Kurdish forces.
