ARK News: According to statistics issued by the Barzani Charity Foundation, the number of Syrian refugees arriving in the Kurdistan region from the ninth of this month and until 12 noon from the date of Friday, 25 October 2019, to 11247 refugees (2245 families), in the past 24 hours, only 1119 Syrian refugees have arrived in the region.
According to information obtained by ARK News that Bardarash camp is in rural Duhok in the Kurdistan region, which contains new Syrian refugees coming after the Turkish military operation in the eastern Euphrates, the new refugees will be transferred to both Gwelan and Garmawa camps, also in Duhok, bringing the number of Syrian refugee camps in the Kurdistan Region to eleven camps.
Around 230,000 Syrian refugees live in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, about 40% of whom live in nine camps in the governorates of Duhok, Erbil and Sulaimaniyah.
