America expresses concern over Russian-Turkish rapprochement
ARK News: US Defense Secretary Mark Esper expressed his concern about the depth of the Russian-Turkish rapprochement and stressed the need to "direct" Ankara towards another path.
Isber was quoted by Bloomberg news agency on Thursday as saying: "We see how closer to the orbit of Russia, we need to be a strong Turkey and a steady ally, as it was in the past."
Commenting on the "spring of peace" launched by Turkey against the Kurdish factions in northern Syria, Esber said that "Turkey has put us all in a complicated situation."
The US Secretary of Defense made clear that the Turkish policy has chosen an incorrect direction, stressing that Ankara decided to invade Syria regardless of whether there will be US forces in or not.
