Oglu acknowledges that there are intelligence contacts between Turkey and the Syrian regime

ARK News: Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavus Oglu, considered that the agreement between Turkey and Russia regarding northern Syria is a political and diplomatic success, it is also an essential step for the return of refugees, while Ankara acknowledged the existence of intelligence contacts between them and the Syrian regime, considering it natural.

In response to a question, however, who will control the areas from which the Kurdish forces will withdraw, Cavus Oglu said: "Turkey will do this with the local people in the area where it is located, and now Russia will be there, the border guards of the Syrian regime, and will form local administrations with the participation of all spectrums of the people, we have no concerns or hesitation in this regard”.

While he denied direct contact between Turkey and the Syrian regime, he pointed to "contacts at the intelligence levels.
