The ruling party in Germany calls for sending 40 thousand European troops to Syrian Kurdistan
ARK News: German voices enter the line demanding to send 30-40 thousand European troops with a UN mandate to establish a humanitarian protection zone in Syrian Kurdistan.
This was stated by Ruderich Keiz Vetter, foreign affairs expert of the Christian Democratic Party, affiliated with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who said in remarks to Radio “Berlin-Brandenburg” on Monday, that constructive proposals must be made and, of course, European troops, including German soldiers, also be prepared, adding that medical staff, aid workers and reconstruction experts are also needed.
The European Union should offer Turkey, in coordination with Russia, the establishment of this region under an international mandate of the United Nations, for example, adding that this will require a huge effort, and added saying: “But if we do not continue, the Europeans, do not continue to make efforts, we will become players ... if we do not get involved there, we will feel the repercussions on European soil.
