New statistics on the number of refugees arriving recently in the Kurdistan Region

ARK News: The Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) revealed on Monday, October 21, 2019, the number of Syrian Kurdish refugees who have entered the territory since the beginning of the Turkish military operation reached 1.281 refugees.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Joint Crisis Coordination Center said in a tweet on Twitter, seen by the ARk Media Foundation, that 1,281 refugees from Syrian Kurdistan entered the territory yesterday.

The Center added that the total number of refugees who arrived in the province since October 14 is 5.406, pointing to the stability of most of them in the camps of "Domiz" and "Bardarash" in the province of Duhok.

Turkey announced on October 9, launching a military operation against Syrian Kurdistan, which led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of civilians from their areas, especially from Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi.
