Trump: new areas being resettled with the Kurds
ARK News: US President Donald Trump has tweeted that US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper has confirmed that the ceasefire agreement between the SDF and Turkish forces and their affiliates has been holding up so far. “There are some minor skirmishes, but they are over quickly. There are new areas being resettled with the Kurds,” Trump said.
Based on what Trump wrote in his tweet, which included the words “new areas being resettled with the Kurds,” the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights calls for the self-administration of northern and eastern Syria, the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Democratic Council, to expose to Syrian public opinion and the people of the region to the truth of the agreement between the United States and Turkey.
The Syrian Observatory warns against any demographic change for the people of the region, especially after the withdrawal of the Syrian Democratic Forces from the area of Ras al-Ain in accordance with the Turkish-American agreement.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights calls on the responsible parties to announce the details of the agreement and to refrain from demographic change in the region.
