Demonstrations in Deir al-Zour rejecting the return of the regime
ARK News: Hundreds of civilians demonstrated on Friday against the Assad regime in several areas of Deir al-Zour province, rejecting the return of their forces to their areas following an agreement between the SDF and the regime in response to the Turkish military operation in the eastern Euphrates.
According to activists, the people of the villages of Shu'aytat (Abu Hammam, al-Kashkiyeh and Ghranij) went out after Friday prayers with a demonstration under the slogan "Deir al-Zour - Rejects Assad". In the town of "Abu Hammam", they demanded the departure of Iranian militias from Deir al-Zour and expressed their refusal to enter their areas.
Demonstrations also took place against regime forces and Iranian militias in the areas of Mu'ayzilah, Shuhail, Hajin, and Baghouz, chanting slogans such as "The people want to overthrow the regime" and "Free Syria is free and Iran leaves out."
