US forces withdrawing from Syrian Kurdistan are stationed in three regional countries
ARK News: “About 1,000 US troops who have withdrawn from northern Syria will return to US military positions in Iraq, Kuwait and possibly Jordan”, a US official said on Tuesday.
This came in statements made by the official, who declined to be identified, told the "Associated Press", in the midst of talk about the delicate planning of the US withdrawal from Syria.
The official added that US forces "withdrew from the area of Manbij, where military bases were established in 2017," pointing out that these forces "are strengthening their positions in preparation for leaving the country soon."
He pointed out that the US forces stationed in Iraq "can carry out cross-border operations against ISIS, as happened in the past.
