ARK News: Barzani Charity Foundation BCF expressed its willingness, on Saturday 12 October 2019, to help those affected by the ongoing fighting in Syrian Kurdistan.

The Foundation issued a statement, which was followed by ARK News, that stated: "Western Kurdistan is going through an exceptionally disastrous humanitarian situation, where thousands of innocent civilians, women, and children, are in grave danger to their lives, forcing them to leave their homes and land, and to the flee."

The statement added: "While we hope to stop this attack and destruction as soon as possible, we declare our full readiness to help civilians in western Kurdistan, and call on all Kurdish people, and international humanitarian organizations as before to provide the necessary assistance to them through (Barzani Charity Foundation), and to cooperate with us on the relief of Western Kurdistan civilians and mitigate them".

The Foundation concluded its statement calling on the concerned authorities in Syrian Kurdistan to provide full facilities to its teams so that it can deliver assistance to the victims and the affected.

Syrian Kurdistan has been witnessing since last Wednesday battles between the "SDF" on the one hand and the Turkish army and the Syrian opposition militias on the other hand, following the announcement of the Turkish President's military operation in the regions of Syrian Kurdistan. This has led to the displacement of nearly 200,000 people from the border areas, where they live in disastrous humanitarian conditions, according to the United Nations.
