Saudi Arabia condemns Turkish attack in northeast Syria
ARK News: The Saudi government condemned the military operation launched by Turkish forces in northeastern Syria, saying that this move is aggression and an attack on the sovereignty of Syrian territory and a threat to regional security.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued by an official source that it "expresses Saudi Arabia's condemnation of the Turkish army's aggression on northeastern Syria, in a blatant violation of the unity, independence and sovereignty of Syrian territories."
The source expressed "the Kingdom's concern over this aggression as a threat to regional peace and security", stressing the need to ensure the safety of the brotherly Syrian people and the stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria”.
The source pointed out that "regardless of the pretexts being promoted by Turkey, the seriousness of this aggression on northeastern Syria has negative repercussions on the security and stability of the region, especially undermining the international efforts in combating the Islamic State terrorist organization in those locations."
