If Erdogan attacks the Kurds, I will destroy the Turkish economy
ARK News: The US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he would destroy Turkey's economy if Turkey's incursion into Syria destroys the region's Kurdish population.
In his response to a question by a journalist whether he feared to present Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to eliminate the Kurds, said Trump: "I will destroy his economy if that happens."
He added: "I have already done so with Pastor Branson," referring to US sanctions on Turkey for the detention of a US citizen.
"I hope he will act rationally," he said.
The White House said earlier that Trump does not support the Turkish military attack on Syria, and made it a bad idea, saying that "Turkey, a member of NATO has invaded Syria."
