ARK News: In a new phenomenon of its kind, which the armed factions carried out in the Kurdish region of Afrin, in order to impose royalties on civilians, an armed faction in a village of Shiye town imposed an amount of money on every family has an expatriate outside Afrin region.
A private source from Afrin city told the ARK media Foundation on October 8, 2019: “Al-Amshat militias imposed a sum of $1000 on every family in the village of Qarmitlq of Shiye town has an expatriate outside Afrin region or abroad.
The source, who preferred not to be named added saying: Al-Amshat threatened families who oppose the decision to impose the most severe penalties on them, either by cutting their olive trees or imposing huge additional amounts on the objecting family, so some of the families are forced to pay the amounts, according to the source.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Amshat militias control the center of Shiye town and many villages belonging to it, and since these factions control the area and violations against Kurdish civilians have continued.
