President Barzani urges Lavrov to play a role in ensuring the protection of the Kurds in Syrian Kurdistan

ARK News: President Barzani received in Erbil, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his accompanying delegation which consists of diplomats and businessmen.
During the meeting, President Barzani and Lavrov discussed the latest developments in the Kurdistan region, Iraq and the Middle East, according to a statement from President Barzani's office.
The two sides also discussed the situation in Syria and the latest developments there, especially with regard to Western Kurdistan, where President Barzani urged the Russian minister to play a role in ensuring the protection of Kurdish rights in Syria.
