ARK News: According to local sources that units of the Turkish army in northern Syria on Monday evening headed towards the city of Manbij in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

The sources pointed out that these forces include a convoy of vehicles and armored vehicles of the Turkish army and moved towards Manbij from the gate of Jarablis city in northern Syria, which is controlled by Turkey and allied factions as a result of the operation 'Euphrates Shield' which carried out from 2016 to 2017.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier yesterday that his country was determined to launch a military operation in the east of the Euphrates to clear the area of "PYD militants."

This comes to coincide with the start of the United States to withdraw its troops from the northeastern region of Syria near the border with Turkey, amid the latter’s preparations to launch a military operation.
