ARK News: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Turkey's actions "against border security and Syrian sovereignty will not achieve any of its objectives," stressing his country's readiness to cooperate with the two countries to solve problems between them.

"Tehran is ready to cooperate with Damascus and Ankara to resolve outstanding problems in accordance with international laws," Zarif said during a session of the Iranian parliament on Sunday, and continued saying: "Turkey's movements inside the Syrian territory will not achieve the goals that it seeks," according to the agency "IRNA" Iranian.

He added: "We assured Syria and Turkey that the security of the countries of the region is through respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, and Turkey cannot achieve its security by targeting the unity of Syria and the sovereignty of its territory."

The Iranian Foreign Minister proposed to Turkey an alternative solution instead of the military operation in the east of the Euphrates, which is the deployment of the regime's army on the border with Turkey in the east of the Euphrates, and "we stressed to Ankara the need to deploy the Syrian regime army in the border areas with Turkey which inhabited by the Kurds."

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday said that the Turkish military operation in the eastern Euphrates, northern Syria, could start today or tomorrow.
